In this class, children ages 8-12 will gain experience with coding and animation using Scratch. Learners will learn how to code their own virtual pet. Learners will code their pet to introduce itself. Learners will create a virtual pet simulator where they can interact with their pet, introduce their pet, animate their pet, feed their pet, and keep track of its hunger.
This class supports collaboration and learners may be prompted to work together to solve challenges.
This class supports experimentation and encourages learners to try different combinations of blocks so that they can see what happens and learn to create their own unique and interesting designs.
Your child will learn

How to insert a background and sprites (characters/objects).
